According to D.F. Aris, "Bob" Braham was the most highly decorated fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force. In 1952, Braham was appointed to a permanent commission in the Royal Canadian Air Force and emigrated to Canada with his family. He died in Halifax in 1974 (aged 53). From the description of D. F.
